Delete your account & data
You can delete your Rally account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it:
From inside the app
- Open Rally and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top right.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the prompt. Your account, attendance history, friend connections, community memberships, messages, and reviews will be permanently removed.
By email
If you can't access the app, email privacy@rallyedm.com from the address tied to your Rally account with the subject "Account deletion request." We'll confirm and delete within 30 days.
What gets deleted: your profile, username, email, hashed contact data, attendance and review history, festival picks, friend connections, community and crew memberships, messages you've sent, calendar import links, and push tokens. Public events themselves remain in the catalog (they aren't user data).
Report or block someone
Rally has zero tolerance for harassment, abuse, or objectionable content. You can report or block any user or message directly from the app:
- Report a user or message: Tap the user's profile or long-press the message, then choose Report. Pick a category, and we'll review within 24 hours.
- Block a user: Open their profile and tap Block. Blocked users can't see your profile, message you, or appear in your friend suggestions.
You can also email support@rallyedm.com with details and we'll handle it directly.
Frequently asked questions
Which cities does Rally cover?
Rally currently tracks EDM events in 19 North American cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Massachusetts (Boston), Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Chicago, Iowa, and Texas (Austin/Dallas/Houston).
I don't see an event I'm going to. Can I submit it?
Yes — tap the + in the Events tab and submit the event details. Once approved it'll be added to the public catalog so your friends can see it too. You can also email us a link.
Why does Rally want my contacts?
So you can find friends who are already on Rally. Phone numbers are hashed (SHA-256) on your device before being sent to us — we never store raw phone numbers. You can use Rally without granting contacts access; you just won't get automatic friend matching.
Why does Rally want my location?
Two reasons: (1) to detect which city you're in and show local events, and (2) to optionally pop the right community chat when you arrive at a venue. You can deny location and pick your city manually in Settings.
How do I connect Spotify?
Go to Profile → Connect Spotify. Rally reads your top artists to power personalized event recommendations and your "EDM Taste Profile." Disconnect anytime from the same screen — we delete your stored Spotify data when you do.
How do festival picks work?
On a festival page, tap the Lineup tab, then star artists as "Must See" or "Maybe." Rally builds a personalized day-by-day schedule on the My Schedule tab with set times and stage info so you don't miss your sets.
How do I add a friend?
Three ways: (1) share your invite QR code or rally.app link from your profile, (2) tap a friend in the contacts list if you've granted contacts access, or (3) search by username in the Social tab.
How do I turn off notifications?
Open Settings → Notification Preferences. You can toggle event reminders, friend activity, review prompts, and review reminders independently. Push notifications are off by default until you opt in.
How do I sync events to my calendar?
Tap Add to Calendar on any event, or enable automatic sync in Settings → Calendar. Rally can also generate a webcal subscription URL so your Going events stay in sync with iCloud, Google, or Outlook.
The app crashed / something broke.
Email support@rallyedm.com with your device model, iOS version, and a description (a screenshot or screen recording helps a lot). We'll get back to you within 2 business days.
